Because she is a princess..

... y aquí llega, con un día de retraso... pero no importa. Es ese día, el día después, el día en el que ya nadie se acuerda de nada, y sólo son horas después.... no, en realidad no, en realidad es que soy muy despistada y por si fuera poco, ahora encontré un trabajo!! (bueno son prácticas pero muy intensas) y ya pues lo que faltaba. Así que no quería dejar pasar la oportunidad de felicitarte y dedicarte este post a tí, a mi mitad en Café au Deux ahora, y mi mitad en prácticamente cualquier día de mi vida de los últimos siete años. Ayer fué el cumpleaños de una persona muy especial... y aquí está mi pequeño homenaje  para tí  ;)  (el regalazo en cuestión de su chico lo podéis ver un poco más abajo jiji)

Aquí os hago un pequeño resumen de la historia, lo que pasaría un año cualquiera en el cumple de AIAM con la pena de que este año no lo hemos podido celebrar juntas:

Como ella es muy discreta creería que su cumple lo celebraría así, en petit comité, pero de eso nada, porque para eso estamos las demás, para montar el fiestón, y preparamos todo tipo de cócteles todo muy rosa y femenino. Y como no nos conformamos con nada nos ponemos manos a la obra y ponemos la cocina patas arriba, pero todo tiene que estar perfecto! Mientras AIAM pasa la jornada decidiciendo cual de todos sus fantasticos vestidos va a elegir para la ocasión, probablemente, escoja el que escoja acertará, y le regalamos tantas cosas, que no sabe ni donde ponerlas y luego sin duda, la fiesta será memorable...

 pero lo más importante...

Someone recognises this lion?

Yo lo tenía fichado y mi novio lo sabía. Así que este león es mi nueva mascota y mi nuevo maravilloso clutch, estrenado algo así como media hora después de recibirlo ;)

I had it on my wishlist, and my boyfriend knew it... So this lion is now my new pet and my new wonderful clutch, used for first time like half an hour after recieving it. 

i can only say... Thank You!!!

Falling for... Warm sweaters

I have a small obsession with warm wooden/cashmere, cozy, furry, fluffly sweaters now that it's really starting to be very cold. (Yes, in Vienna we are already in the minus 0 temperatures in the nights). Well, just wanted to share my obsession with you. Maybe some of you are thinking of warm sweaters too! ;)

Ahora que empieza a hacer frío de verdad (sí, en Viena ya bajamos de 0 por la noche), ando algo obsesionada con todo tipo de jerseys de lana/cashmere, cuanto más calentito, peludo y acogedor mejor....  Tan solo quería compartir mi pequeña obsesión con vosotros. A lo mejor alguna de vosotras también está pensando en jerseys calentitos... ;)

Look of the day *3* Naschmarkt, Viena

Si hay un mercado de baratijas en la ciudad, está claro que es uno de los primeros lugares a los que me gusta ir allá donde esté. En este caso, el mercadillo en Viena está en Naschmarkt, lo ponen los sábados en una zona que me encanta.  En Karlsplatz y sobre la linea U4 del metro en dirección Hütteldorf, empieza Naschmarkt con una serie de restaurantes como peceras en medio de la calle, formando una callecita entre ellos: algunos asiáticos, algunos "bio", todos tienen algo especial y un ambiente inmejorable. Además ponen estufas en la callecita entre ellos y se está estupendamente aunque haga frío (aunque cuando haga FRÍO me da que mejor sentarse dentro...). 

If there's a flea market in the city, it's naturally one of the first places I like to go to, wherever I am. In this case, Viena's flea market is in Naschmarkt, on saturdays, in an area that I love. In Karlsplatz, and above the U4 metro line (direction Hütteldorf), Naschmarkt starts with some restaurants that appear as fishtanks in the middle of the street, creating a small street between them: some asiatics, some "bio", all of them have something special and such a great atmosphere. Together with this, they installed some stoves in the street and it feels so nice in there, even when it's cold (though I guess that when it'll be COLD it'll be better to sit inside...)

Después de los restaurantes empieza el mercado de comida, donde se encuentran alimentos básicos, pero sobre todo cosas más especiales y unas cuantas delicatessen, terminando con algunos puestos de cosas varias que no tienen mucho interés. 

Es a partir de la parada Kettenbrückengasse cuando empieza el mercadillo de antigüedades. Encontraréis mucho cristal, lámparas de araña a montones, muebles, figuritas, abrigos de pelo, carteras de piel... A mí me han tentado muchísimas cosas, pero todavía no he llegado a comprar nada... Por un sencillo motivo: lo que quiero es una lámpara de araña y no tengo dónde ponerla! ;) 


After all the restaurants, the food market starts, where you can find basic food but above all, some more special stuff and some delicatessen as well. In the end there are some not interesting little shops.

It's after Kettenbrückengasse metro stop that the flea market starts. You'll find a lot of glass, chandeliers, furniture, little statues, fur coats, leather bags... I've been tempted to get many things, but I still didn't buy anything... For a simple reason: what I want is a chandelier and I have nowhere to hang it!

Por cierto, si de verdad queréis ver el mercado con tranquilidad, lo mejor es madrugar y verlo con menos gente. Es bastante turístico y se llena de gente! Además, a partir de las 12 algunos puestos empiezan a desmontarse. (Es el momento de irse a por una cerveza o un almuerzo en los restaurantes del principio ;) )

By the way, if you really want to see the market without too many people around, the best is to get up early. It's quite turistic and it gets so crowded! Appart from this, after 12 some of the stands start to close. (It's the moment to go for a beer/lunch at one of the restaurants at the beginning ;) )

The look of the week

Sé que esta sección solía llamarse 'El vestido de la semana' pero al ver éste look tan simple, elegante y fácil de llevar, lo dejaremos por esta vez en 'El look de la semana'  ;)

Atención a los zapatos de Valentino (que por cierto los hubo muy parecidos en Zara el año pasado) y no olvidar el elemento principal: la trenza

I know this section used to be called 'The dress of the week' but this simple, elegant and easy look deserves an exception, we'll call it this time 'The look of the week' ;)

Keep in mind Valentino's shoes (we could fine very similar shoes in Zara last year) and not forgetting the main thing: the braid

Un remedio para enamorados en la lejanía (Long-distance relationship)

La verdad es que podía haber descubierto este invento hace algunos años, pero bueno, ahora que lo sé no puedo dudar en compartirlo con los demás, por si hay alguien que lo necesite de verdad. 

Es un invento recomendado para aquellas parejas de enamorados que por cosas del destino han tenido que separarse. Si es por hacer la lejanía un poco más estrecha... bienvenido sea!

Se trata de un par de almohadas, pero no unas cualquiera, sino que estas almohadas están conectadas con un anillo. Éste anillo detecta tu presencia cuando te vas a dormir. Y hace que la almohada compañera, que la tiene tu pareja allá donde esté, emita luz, representando de algún modo tu presencia y simbolizando un gesto de cercanía. Y si la abrazas puedes escuchar los latidos del corazón! Vale, ya se que es un poco extraño pero... quien está enamorado seguro que lo entiende perfectamente :)

And if you hug it an listen you can hear his heartbeat! Okay, I know it's a little strange but ... sure who is in love get it perfectly :)

Simple RINGS

Y la obsesión más tonta llega cuando se me antojan estos anillos tan simples. Alguien tiene alguna idea de donde conseguirlos o algo similar?! No os gustan? a mi me parecen preciosos, también quizás porque estoy un poco cansada de los macro anillos... Aunque no me disgustaría nada tener un Arty de YSL. Pero concentrémonos en los anillos simples por esta vez... ;)

And the stupid obsession comes when I can't live without those rings. Anyone have any idea where to get them or something similar?! Don't you like them? they seem precious to me, also maybe because I'm a little tired of the macro rings ... Although  I would not mind having a YSL Arty. But concentrate on the simple rings this time ... ;)

Style Icon - Romy Schneider

Ha sido hoy en Marie Claire cuando han publicado 10 fotos en homenaje a la desaparación de Romy Schneider hace 30 años, y se me ha ocurrido publicar entonces las fotos de esta mujer, que guardaba en una carpeta, y que marcó una época y una generación. Las mujeres que nos inspiran, no siempre son mujeres de ahora, es más, la mayoría son mujeres de antaño, que nos transmiten a través de sus fotos y en muchas de sus películas, su estilo personal y singular. En esta selección de fotos me gustaría destacar de esta actriz alemana, aparte de su belleza y sus peculiares ojos como el cristal, su estilo sencillo, su corte de pelo recto, la raya en medio y unas ondas que enmarcan el rostro. Complementos como gorros, con pañuelos anudados, gafas estilo 'nerd' (o más bien lo que se llevaba por aquellos entonces)diademas con el pelo muy tirante hacia atrás, o muy elegante y sexy con la raya al lado y el pelo recogido en un lateral. Yo me quedo con eso.

It was today in Marie Claire when they posted 10 pictures in tribute to the disappearance of Romy Schneider 30 years ago, and it occurred to me to post  my pictures of this woman, that I have kept in a folder for years, who marked an era and a generation .Women who inspire us, are not always it-girls, indeed, the majority are women of the pass,who show through their photographs and many of his films, his unique personal style. In this selection of photos I would like to highlight from this German actress, apart from its beauty and its unique glass-like eyes, his simple style, his hair cut straight, parted in the middle and waves that frame the face. Accessories like hats, knotted shawls, sunglasses style 'nerd' (or rather what was in those time) headbands with hair back too tight or too smart and sexy with side parting and hair in a lateral. I'll take that.

Look of the day *2* Vienna does have autumn...

Remember I told you last week in this post there's no autumn in Vienna? Well I'm sorry... I obviously lied... There is, and it's beautiful, by the way.  I will try to show you in the next weeks...  

This is just an outfit I chose to go to work last week. I find that long skirts are a really good option when the "dress code" for work is quite free... And to keep warm: knit, knit and knit!

Recordáis que os dije la semana pasada en este post que no hay otoño en Viena? Pues lo siento... Obviamente mentí... Sí lo hay, y es precioso. Os lo voy a intentar enseñar durante las próximas semanas..  

Este look lo llevé al trabajo la semana pasada. Las faldas largas son una buena opción cuando no hay un código estricto de vestimenta en el trabajo.. Y para mantenerme calentita: punto, punto y más punto!
