I actually have a tendency to monochrome-basic colours in the winter, except some days... Tomorrow, for example, I'd totally wear these colours. Make the base black and add purple, pink and green. Why not?

Tengo tendencia a los looks monocromáticos en colores básicos en invierno, salvo excepciones... Sin embargo, mañana mismo, por ejemplo, me encantaría llevar estos colores. Hazte una base en negro y añade morado, rosa y verde. ¿Por qué no?

Para mí, la demostración de que no hace falta complicarse la vida para ir estupenda. Quizá llega un poco tarde la inspiración, a día de hoy, al menos en algunas partes de España y de Europa, habría que añadirle un buen par de medias gorditas... ;)

To me, a demonstration of how it's not needed to try too hard to look great. This inspiration might have come a bit too late, in most of Spain and Europe we'd have to add a pair of thick tights, but it'd still work properly... ;)

Look of the week *7* Autumn's here

Hoy es uno de esos días que descubres una firma nueva a golpe de flechazo. Normalmente, cuando me gusta una imagen en Pinterest, le pongo un like o la repineo a uno de mis álbumes. Sólo cuando realmente me interesa, pincho para ver de dónde ha salido. Y así, al enamorarme de ésta que véis arriba, ha sido cuando he pinchado y he descubierto la firma Scotch & Soda, nacida en los 80 (aunque es tal como es ahora desde 2001) con base en Amsterdam. Ya venden en más de 7000 locales en todo el mundo, y yo sin enterarme. Si queréis ver más, no tenéis más que hacer click para ir a su web.

Today's one of those days I found out a new brand, and with this one it was love at first sight. Usually, when I like an image on Pinterest, I click on "like" or repin it to one of my albums. Only when I'm really interested, I click to see where it came from. And that's how, when I fell in love with the image above, I clicked and found out the brand Scotch & Soda, born in the 80's (though it is like it is now since 2001) and Amsterdam-based. Mi amor por los básicos y yo hemos vuelto a seleccionar un look de lo más normal, y que sin embargo me encanta, como look de la semana. Por si vuelven a bajar un poco las temperaturas... Me encanta el toque que le dan los complementos metalizados a la suave mezcla del beige y el gris.

My love for basics and I have selected again a very normal look of the week, but I simply love it... It can be inspiring if it's still cold enough in your city! I love the touch of the metallic complements, together with the soft mix of grey and beige.

A veces hay que volver a los básicos. Basta con llevarlos en un material poco habitual o un poco menos ajustados de lo normal para darle un toque diferente y además, cómodo para el fin de semana.

Sometimes we need to go back to basics. Wearing them in a non-habitual material or a bit less tight than usual is enough to give them a different touch and to be more comfortable for the weekend.

The look of the week

Sé que esta sección solía llamarse 'El vestido de la semana' pero al ver éste look tan simple, elegante y fácil de llevar, lo dejaremos por esta vez en 'El look de la semana'  ;)

Atención a los zapatos de Valentino (que por cierto los hubo muy parecidos en Zara el año pasado) y no olvidar el elemento principal: la trenza

I know this section used to be called 'The dress of the week' but this simple, elegant and easy look deserves an exception, we'll call it this time 'The look of the week' ;)

Keep in mind Valentino's shoes (we could fine very similar shoes in Zara last year) and not forgetting the main thing: the braid
