This post is to all those who have been reminded at their offices, that in a few days they are invited to that wonderful and strange event called "Christmas dinner". I admit this year I'm attending this event for first time, but I tried to use some good criteria and logic and ended up with a collection of a few images with looks I'd wear to go to a dinner to which my mates and my bosses are invited (which means that "sexy thing" looks, scandalous mini-skirts and other "suggestive" looks have been excluded ;) ).

I understand that the etiquette depends on the place, the company, if it's a dinner/lunch... But I hope this images will be a bit helpful if you still didn't decide what to wear. By the way, I think it's also valid for Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner events =)

Printed dress + neutral blazer + clutch + natural make up = perfection
Vestido estampado + blazer en tono neutro + maquillaje natural = perfección

Since metallics are in, I think it's a great option to chose an office-like look and change one of the clothes for a metallic version of it.

Going on with fashion trends, why not some leather pants with a delicate night-style top? I think Kate made a perfect combination here:

Another top look: sequined skirt and delicate shirt.

If I have to chose someone's style, I'll chose Olivia, -even if it's not very original ;) -, because she styles perfectly the "dressed up casual good girl" look...

And to finish, some images of the Burberry Store Opening at the British Embassy in Paris, some days ago. The Burberry style is, in my opinion, another top inspiration for an event like this!

One last piece of advice: when in doubt, ask other girls from your work what style they will wear or someone to tell you how it was in the past years, specially if the etiquette isn´t defined. It's more important to dress apropriate according to the event's "status", to integrate with the guests' style, rather than forcing it to wear that new night gown that you recently bought... Or at least it's less risky if you are not precisely a trendsetter.
