OUTFIT · 26 - Ombre jeans

Hey guys! How are you doing? Today I would like to share with you my last look of the  'warm season'. I was wearing this ombre jean MANGO shirt, one of my lastest adquisitions and probably one of the best investments of the season, together with leather and military. This sunny day, we went to visit a lake close to Munich, Ammersee and I decided to wear total look jeans with this angle boots and my mum's vintage fruity bag. I can imagine now the same look but with proper jeans, autumn accessories and my new military green jacket... pretty good combination!

And you, do you like total look jeans, like that here? Quite simple but impactful!

Zara Home vs Ikea

The world of advertisements is a mistery to me, and I can't help being curious when, unlike the biggest percentage of adverts, some brand designs a beautiful or ingenious advert. It seems paradoxical to me to see that some important brands don't take care of their image, and I enjoy the feeling of savoir-faire when I see the result of a great idea or a beautiful spot.

Today I'm showing you two videos from two brands whose main point in common is that there is no Spanish house where one can find objects from both, even if they're so different. In the case of Zara Home, it seems to me it's an advert that simply show beauty (beauty that can be bought in their shops). On the other hand, Ikea's advert proves great deals of inventiveness, turning things up to make us aware of some need that we can, of course, solve in their shops.

From the first one, I love not only the beauty of its images, but also of their music. This is the complete song, "That Home", from the Cinematic Orchestra.
Having said that, I have to admit that from the Zara Home' advert, it "annoys me" not to be able to see the objects and details a bit more slowly, and from Ikea's ad nothing bothers me, but I've never liked their textiles and it's not making me change my mind! ;)

What effect do these ads produce on you? Do you think they're useful or rather the opposite?

Hoy en The Lemon Pear...

Sometimes, the most essential moment from a creative house is when its discipline gets involved with others to create something completely new. The case of Hermès, the fashion brand that produces some of the most wanted bags in the world, is that of a firm that behaves somehow as a "sponsor" of Architecture, placing their headquarters and shops in buildings where they don't only aim for functionality, but for representation.

Today I stole our mate Elena's Architecture section on The Lemon Pear to talk to you about some of the most importante buildings of the Hermès firm, and to propose a game: to look for the man on the horse in each one of them:

Hermès, "mecenas" de la Arquitectura

*By the way, since it's in Spanish, you can just have a look or you can translate it with the Google translator tool that you'll find at the bottom of the right menu of the page. If you have any problems or you can't understand something (it's not a perfect translation, I know), please don't hesitate to leave us a comment here or at The Lemon Pear, we'll be pleased to listen to you =)

¡Que tengáis un buen día!
Have a great day!

Look of the week *7* Autumn's here

Today's one of those days I found out a new brand, and with this one it was love at first sight. Usually, when I like an image on Pinterest, I click on "like" or repin it to one of my albums. Only when I'm really interested, I click to see where it came from. And that's how, when I fell in love with the image above, I clicked and found out the brand Scotch & Soda, born in the 80's (though it is like it is now since 2001) and Amsterdam-based. They sell their clothes in more than 7000 shops around the globe -and I didn't know. If you want to see more, just click to go to their website.

¡Feliz fin de semana!
Happy weekend!

Hunter... curiosity

Maybe, you already know about this, but for me was a surprisingly new when I first heard about it. The well-known HUNTER boots firm has developed his quality to create a new material much more flexible which allows us to wrap the boots as in the picture below. It may sound crazy but it is probably the most useful thing that I have ever heard in terms of boots! Imagine, from now on, you will be able to carry your rain boots inside your lugagge without refusing to lose space. The new model is called ORIGINAL TOUR.

 It is simply amazing!

Not long ago, can't remember why, I suscribed to Vogue.com's emails and since then, I've been recieving about one weekly email with some fashion feature or an article where someone from the Vogue world tells a personal story related to the magazine. Well, among all the newsletters that I recieve from different magazines, it's these Vogue emails (called "Read my Vogue story") are my favourites so far.

But why? Maybe because, instead of sending me loads of emails with loads of stories in each one, they send me just one article, one story, and one only image. Or because I like to listen to people's stories. Because, true or not, they have a certain intimate character. Or just 'cause of the high quality of the images that, once inside the article, I can watch and enjoy.

I'll leave you one example: Anna Wintour's story, for the 120th Vogue's anniversary, about the cover that made her chief in 1988. An inspiring cover for several reasons: because it's nice to see such a "fresh" image in such a meticulous world, for it's mix of high and low, because that jacket is totally in 24 years later, because it's a great idea for a DIY...

Teresa Helbig Fall Winter 2012-2013

¡Mucha suerte!

I haven't been here for a while... But I think I have enough reasons to do it now. After wanting it so bad and even if we weren't sure if it would be possible or not, it seems that in the end, Anne-Charlotte and I will attend some of the fashion shows at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Madrid, in the end of this week/beginning of next one.

So I was surfing the net, checking the webs of the designers taking part and I re-found the wonderful collection by Teresa Helbig for this season. Inevitably, I re-fell completely in love... Must be 'cause I'm a romantic! And a lover of leather... The collection is pure balance and, for me, pure success. In fact, this collection made Teresa Helbig win her second and well deserved L'Oréal prize to the best designer. Hopefully, we'll be there to see her "fight" to get the prize a third time! (Please, Mr. Postman, hurry up!). Good luck!

¿Y vosotros?

What about you? Do you usually follow the Fashion Weeks in the moment or you prefer to wait till magazines tell you all about it?
Have a great day!

OUTFIT·25 PLAIN PINK

THE TRUTH IS...
that I was thinking in calling this post again 'How to rock... an old (style) flowery skirt' but not to abuse to much the concept I decided not to do it. But keep that in mind haha.
Actually, this skirt have been in my wardrobe during ages, without any opportunity. But suddenly, I started to have this kind of need of one of this colorful plain sweaters or jumpers.
It was during sales when I visualized the bright pink colour, calling me since the end of the corridor of mountains made out of clothes (in ZARA) Then I realized how beautiful this skirt should be with the jumper. I love the cut out in the back. As i am wearing it without anything else, it becomes pretty sexy to be just a jersey ( jumper, jersey, sweater... seriously, I don't know how to call it, but you understand me... ^^)

THE SECOND TRUTH IS...
that I really think that this pictures are one of my favourites since I started with the blog. I am very sad though: i dont't now how to get rid of this noise!!! I now it was getting dark and probably this is one of the main reasons. Please, I hate to be so amateur when I see that the result of my photos could be better, I would kindly accept any suggestion

THE THIRD TRUTH IS...
that once upon a time... pink was one of my favourites colours. It became something obsessive! and there were times when I was wearing pink shirt+pink trousers+ pink shoes... (a potential petit suisse)
I guess it is something that a blogger should't confess, but it was my style, is part of myself, and maybe, without this, I wouldn't be who I am now. Actually, I think this pink colour gives to my dark skin and dark hair, more light and it is pretty cool!

See you after my holiday!
